All the Sisters at Zone Conference with Santa and his elf (Assistants Elder Nicholas & Elder Stowell)
So, I don't know if I told you or not, but I'm driving! haha. Sweetness. City driving.....it's not that bad, the roads and highways just wind around and make no sense whatsoever....Lanes change back and forth between oncoming and your lane traffic sometimes....But anyway, I do enjoy driving. Especially this car, its not so big as the last. I'm not looking forward to snow though, because our tires have bad traction and they can't replace them right now.
But anyway...the weather is nuts. One day it was cold, but alright....we go in for dinner, come out an hour later and there is like 3 inches of snow on the ground!! I thought it would be here to stay....but then it left. Then it was like Biiiitterly windy for a few days, and it pushes you around when you walk. That day I didn't wear my boots because there was no snow on the ground, and I thought I was going to die! My toes were numb after like 40 minutes. And my face was all wind burned. But anyway, then it turned rainy and warmed up and I didn't even need a coat the other day, just my sweater! SO WEIRD. I have no idea what winter will bring. Living next to the water really is crazy.
So a really cool lady I met in Amherst right before I left, went and bought this Neti Pot for me to use and sent it with the sisters at Zone Conference. I used it last night.....it was weird! It's like a spout that you pour salt water up your nose and it drains out the other end.....If you know me, I don't go sticking things up my nose any ol day of the week haha. But my sinus' do feel better. I think I'm going to keep doing it to keep them clear. It's cool. (Sheynah, don't ask me, but I thought of you! Probably because out of anyone, you would know what it is, and I never would have.....two because, well you know. And three because I knew you'd be proud of me haha). Random experience of the day.
Anyway, last night we had the most amazing lesson with a single mother, probably in her 50's, named Nicki. She has four sons ages 11-15. We knocked into them right when I first got here and this was our second lesson with them last night. I came away so happy. Those boys and her are amazing. They are SUCH good kids. (And so cute, haha they've all got their shags...haha). I was amazed at their questions and sincerity, especially Jack who is 14. He reminded me so much of Joseph Smith with his questions. It was awesome. I can't wait to see what happens.
Anyway, I don't know what else to say! Things are going good, I love it here in Halifax! The trio is good...! Write me back!Love you all and have a Merry Christmas!Sister Olsen
