Us and Logan, our amazing investigator. Logan with member Phillip who has been helping to teach him and will be baptizing him!

We've had some "fun" knocking this week. I've decided I don't like yelling the gospel to people that are hard of hearing. It just doesn't fit. And people who stare daggers seem to take words right out of you. One guy yesterday just said "Go Away" really slowly and shut the door slowly. It was so silly really. I always laugh. Really most people are great.

Anyway, it is BONE CHILLING COLD HERE! There may not be snow, but it is SOOO cold. The wind just goes right through you, no matter how many layers you have on! Fun stuff huh? I find myself making all kinds of weird noises and things when we go out in the cold. I'm entertaining to Sister McEwan for sure. They even say this is so mild and unusual! Yikes.

And last but not least........I'm being transferred!!!!! So...I was shocked. Normally it's Sister McEwan's turn to leave and she's been here 7.5 months!.....I've been prepping and psyching myself out to have the area left in my hands....little did I know, I've been prepping it for her! haha. She's been packing....saying goodbye to everyone. SURPRISE! When the phone call came, I didn't believe my district leader, because last time he lied to us to get us all rawled up for nothing.....but I'm excited! I'm going to HALIFAX!! To serve with Sister Moss (whom I love and adore) and Sister Nichols (she's been out one transfer less than me, and I've heard she's great). It'll be a trio until Sister Moss goes home in Janurary next transfer. Halifax South is actually the area. North is closed. And there are tons of Elder's in the metro, they just serve in Dartmouth and Cole Harbor and such. So I'll see them quite a bit, but they're not in my area. I've heard they don't get a lot of snow in Halifax, but it's really really cold with the water right there. Ummm......I'll take the snow, thanks. So the apartment will be familiar to me, we've stayed there when we've been in the area. It's a young single adult ward that I'll serve in (YSA). Lots of college kids and stuff. Weird, but I've heard it's amazing. I'm really excited. But anyway! I've wanted to serve in Halifax really bad, I just never thought it'd be this soon! if at all. But it feels really good. I know it's going to be so good for me and teach me lots of great things, I feel it in my bones. I will get to go to the temple often! And be near the mission home for Christmas, which will be awesome. To be honest, I was really looking forward to spending Christmas here with these people that I love! But both would be fine. I'm sad to leave Sister McEwan, we've learned so much from each other, and it's been fun! They are the memories I have so far of the mission - with her that is. But anyway, I'll tell you more about Halifax next week. I will get there tomorrow! I meet up with the transfer van in Moncton in the morning. Packing will be.........I hate packing haha. Sister Billings is coming to Amherst!! I'm excited for her, I know she'll do great. It'll be fun for her to get to know this place and people. I've gotten to say goodbye to some people, I'm really going to miss some of them! They've touched me and taught me so much. I will definitely be keeping in touch with a few for life.

Anyhoo.......my address wil be changing, but everything will get forwarded to me just fine. So keep it coming! I love you all, and hope your December is not too cold and filled with the Love of God that is ever present! Much Love, Sister Jen Olsen
