This week has been LONG. It's felt rough, but I know it could've been much worse. Sister Nicholls and I are getting along just fine, I'm glad we've had a transfer to get to know each other a little bit. It's just the responsibility shift I guess. I am the senior companion, I don't know if I told you. But anyway, we are relying on each other a lot. I'm glad I have her here. It's been slightly overwhelming. We have been SO busy ever since Sister Moss left, I can't decide if it's a blessing or a curse. But yeah. And yes, happy 5 month mark! If this year goes by fast like I think it will, I'll be back before you know it.
I'm glad you asked some questions!.......you can see water from here quite often when we get close to the bridge or in the downtown area. It's pretty cool, just cause it's not something I'm used to seeing. It does feel a lot like SLC with the tall buildings, but instead of mountains, water! I like it a lot. As I'm getting to know it better, I'm finding out it's not as big as I once thought, so probably a lot like SLC. We get fed maybe once a week if we're lucky here. The Elders are in the family ward so they get more appointments, and when people are generous they give us a turn. Our ward is just poor college students. Joe, our amazing investigator from China feeds us sometimes though. He's awesome. Right now I'm trying to make my money and groceries stretch to the end of the month and until I can get some more. I don't know where it all went this month!
It's scary trying to figure out how to get the investigators that we do have to progress. It's so hard to know what they need. And I feel so much pressure from the branch president and the mission president to just make it work and do so much more! But it's on the Lord's time. And I have come in line with the Lord. I'm a tryin. Thanks for all your prayers. I definitely need them. I just found out my friend Nyssa that I served with in the RS Presidency from BYU-I, decided to go on a mission and she's going to Calgary Canada! That was quite a shock. I'm sure she'll love it. I now see why Brigham felt the need to "warn" me about how hard it was going to be. It is hard. But I still know this is what the Lord wanted me to do, so here I am. Until next week...LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!Jen
