So I met a member out here, Danielle Hirtle and her husband Simon. He is the ward mission leader in one of the Dartmouth wards. They had us over for dinner the other night, only to find out that she is from Idaho! Boise or something I think. Anyway, she went on a date with Barry Herbert once upon a time and was also roommates with Jessica and Erin Harris in Boise! SMALL WORLD! I'm seriously always amazed.

So we had a baptism on Sunday! His name was Nick, he has been taught for 8 years and the Elder's were working with him most recently, but since he would be in the YSA we just helped get him get ready for baptism this past week. He has some mental health issues and has been through a lot, but after a lot of interviews, he was ready! President and Sister Simpson decided to come out to the baptism and we had church right before it.......and anyway Nick was almost an hour late to church! We were all freaking out when we couldn't get ahold of him and he wasn't showing up and President was there!!! Anyway, he came. And then we forgot to fill up the font! Woot! hahaha It was funny. We had to have refreshments first. Thank goodness for the Elders who noticed.

We've had some really good teaching appointments this week. We knocked into these three college guys last week, and they had us over a few days later for a lesson. It was awesome. Ian is also inactive member I don't think I've ever told you about. He isn't sure if the church is true or not and wants to really dig in and learn and figure things out for himself. He's 25 and has been inactive for about 8 years now. We've been seeing him for a little while, but he's been home for Christmas and is now back. Anyway, we had an amazing Spirit led discussion with him yesterday. It was amazing. I really love that feeling. And then I don't think I ever told you about Terry. He is a college student here from the Caribbean, working two jobs and investigating the church! The sisters met him on the street before I got here. He is very hard to get ahold of, but it's so worth it to be patient, because he is so amazing. He is so open to the gospel and doesn't even know it. He always has amazing questions and we love teaching him. He always whips out some kind of crackers or food for us in his apartment with absolutely no furniture. Very gracious host. But anyway, he said the closing prayer for us yesterday and even asked that Heavenly Father help us find other people to teach about the BOM to.....! I'm positive he'll be baptized. Don't know when, but it'll happen. It's cool. I think a lot of these diverse people that we teach are supposed to be here and learn the gospel and take it home to their countries. :)

Anyway things are going good here. It's going to feel more than a little lonesome this week without Sister Moss and I may cry tomorrow when I have to give her up, haha, but all will be well. Hope everyone is doing amazing!Love, Sister Olsen
