My camera broke and here’s the story. So yesterday we had a dinner appointment with some members and they live really close to this one part of the ocean in Lawrencetown. Sooooo today we were going to the beach as a district and we needed to make sure we knew where it was. So we had a few spare minutes after dinner and we decided while we were still out there, we would find the beach. Turns out it was beautiful!!!! We dipped our toes in....the waves coming in were pretty big.......But then we sat down on this small sandy edge to put our shoes back on and........little did we know that the tide was coming in.......and all of a sudden this huge wave came and drenched us!! And got my camera all wet where it was sitting! :( Holy hannah, should have seen that coming, but we didn't haha. So my card and everything is still ok, and the camera works, but the screen is completely dead. I'm sure it could be fixed easily. But I don't think it’s worth it. It's getting pretty old anyway. So I'm okay with all that. But I'm more than a little bummed that I have to use Sister Billings’s camera to go to PEI next week. hahaha. Oh well. It will be okay. So yeah. I guess we deserved that.
Here in the good old Maritimes it's getting slightly colder.....and I can feel it........! It's bringing back memories of last fall in Amherst big time! It also gets really dark early at night already. It's actually really sad haha. But oh well. I do love a beautiful fall here!
Last week we were at a member's for dinner, showed up and Sister Worth was teaching her kids a little lesson, so we joined in. She was teaching about diligence and relating President Hinckley's story of when he was on his mission and wrote home.....you all know the one. So she told how his Dad wrote back and she says, "And guess what he said? He said, 'Forgot yourself, and go to................'" And then her little boy Joseph yells out, "Hawaii!!" hahahahhaha. We all got a good laugh out of that. If only. hahahahaha. It was too cute.
Things are going well. We have our struggles in the work, in our companionship, in the ward........but honestly most the time, things are good. I'm just so grateful to be here in this area and with Sister Billings for the summer!!! I hope you all are doing well and loving life! I'm so grateful to share the knowledge and life experiences that I have. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ really is true! And it's for everyone. I love you all.....If you feel like writing, I would love to hear from you!
