A pretty view down at Fisherman's Cove in Eastern PassageNO, to answer any question, I can't believe I've been out a year!! Nuts. Time really has gone by fast. When I look back on all my experiences, I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING! I love all the people I've been able to talk to and be a part of their lives in the past year, no matter even how brief. I feel so much purpose in being here. Although at times it’s harder than I think I am able to bear, I can see that these experiences really are custom shaped for me. And I'm so glad that I have been able to have them, and to help people out along the way. You truly do feel like you get so much more than you give though! Looking forward, I know the time is going to fly! Truly. But I'm excited. I know even though I have a short time left, it's going to be packed with many more adventures and lessons to come! Bring it on!
I wanted to share a brief thought, that one of my past companions and best friends out here taught me a long time ago. I've felt like I needed to share it with someone back home. So here it is. In life, we are often thrown challenges that try the best of us. And when we are at our wits end..... not really sure what to do, where to turn, or what we need so that we can move forward......There is a reason why we don't know how to heal ourselves. That is so we will turn to The Healer. John 16:33. He knows the way through. He knows what we need. He can give us the answers and help that no one else, including ourselves, can give. The sooner we figure it out, and humble ourselves enough to turn to Him, the better. He's always there waiting. I have an ever growing testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He loves us and is there for our happiness and success in this life.
Anyway, I hope all is well on the home front! I love you all and am sending you much love from Canada!
