(By the way, that's a Newfie phrase for "hows it going?" haha)
So there is a girl in our ward here, Andrea, who is around our age and thinking of going on a mission, she comes teaching and finding with us often, and she's great. And awhile ago she felt like she needed to give a pass-a-long card to this janitor at her university and so she did! He was really excited about whatever happened in their brief exchange there and gave her his home info and phone number for us to contact him. So she gave that to us awhile ago. We tried to stop by a couple of times, with Andrea, also us alone, but never had any luck. I think one time we scared the living daylights out of his wife haha. But anyway, we were getting ready to drop them as potentials, but decided to try back one more time and the wife let us in, we had a short talk with her, just Sister Hamblin and I, and we scheduled a return appointment to meet with her and her husband! So that meeting happened on New Years Day. It was an awesome lesson! Their names are Karra and Sarma. They are Hindu and from India. At first we weren't sure how much they were understanding, but the lesson went beautifully. I really felt the Spirit there. They are very much the pure in heart, you could see it in their eyes and hear it in their comments. She asked when they could come to church, and we said how about tomorrow! And they came! And also during our lesson, as we talked about the Book of Mormon, she asked, "So we can read this everyday?.." Um, yes please haha. It was wonderful. We left that lesson feeling great. And we are really excited about them. I think they enjoyed church yesterday and we will be meeting with them again later this week. So that's Karra and Sarma!
Our other investigators are still coming back into town slowly and we're getting in touch with new potentials, but I feel great things happening already this new year! Some of our investigators have such great faith and I love them for it. Things are going well here. We're busy for the most part and happy and..........yeah! I sense that I am going to miss this so very much. VERY MUCHO MUCH. It was weird to think yesterday was my last fast Sunday in the mission field and that for the next one I'll be home. I have a feeling this is the first of a lot of lasts! :( :O
