K, So I'm almost so out of time....because the computer just logged me out and I had to start over, AND your dear elders didn't get sent right, So they appeared here in my email and I read them so now I have a little less time to write!
This week has been great. Busy, different. So far I am still healthy and strong. I'd like to thank my friend - hand sanitizer. :) Everyone else is a different story though. haha
Few more chances to call in the RC. Haven't gotten a hold of tons of people, but I've been punching the call button with no hesitation. haha. It's fun, the people that you actually get to talk to. This one guy I called had a Spanish accent, and was like, "Ummmm can I call you back? Yeah, my son going die. Can I call you back?" I just laughed, he was totally not interested. ANYHOO.
We had more teaching appointments. They are always interesting. Teaching people who act as investigators, but they try to make it as close to the real deal as possible. We even get recorded and listened in on. We did so good. The Spirit was so there and directed our lesson from beginning to end. It felt great. But turns out the equipment was malfunctioning and our teacher couldn't hear us and therefore couldn't give us any feedback. I felt jipped. haha Did I mention I love our teachers? Truly.
Sister Dalton came and spoke in RS on Sunday. She said one thing I really liked.....something to the effect of: Be willing to give up the life you had planned, for the life that's waiting for you. I know that the Lord definitely has a plan to make more out of us than we ever could by ourselves. I KNOW and have all faith in that.
So Sister Gay - one of my hommies. She's going to Halifax with us, in our room and district - she had to go the hospital yesterday. They think she might have to have her appendix out. She's had some major health issues and these past two days have been totally out of the normal and crazy. Lots of running around craziness. I tell you, no one knows what's going on around here. There's really no one in charge it seems like. But we were able to get her where she needed to be and get her a blessing. I got my gym time in yesterday for sure. I never want to see stairs again. Just teasing. She is actually having tests run on her right now and we will find out what's going on. Pray for her! I love her so much. I want her to be healthy and do those things the Lord has called her to do.
I bought some sweats today and a Canada shirt! I'm now wondering how it'll all fit the weight limit when I go. Speaking of which - ONE WEEK! ahhhh We fly out Tuesday morning! I don't even want to think about packing. Oh and sister Billings let me wear her jeans today. hahah They look slightly silly but not too bad.
There have been a few times this week I have been reminded of the Lord's love for me, and that He hasn't forgotten me amidst all the craziness. I wish I could tell you more. But I know he loves me. Therefore I know he loves you.
I love you all soooo much. I'm doing great really! But I want to hear from you all! It may be great, but doesn't mean it’s easy! :P
LOVE,LOVE and more LOVE,
Sister Olsen
