So Canadian phrases and such are rubbing ever so slightly off on me....! I don't even notice the strange things they say anymore haha. There are some interesting people here. I like them a lot. Friendly as ever people. Really, even when they drive, they let you go first even when they have the right away. You can tell when people aren't from Canada, because they drive like crazy, in a hurry Americans. haha Or when people don't really want to talk to you, but they will, for the most part. :) They're pretty nice. There are a lot of old people in this community, a lot on welfare, and a lot of illiterates, it's surprising. One investigator we have will shower us with kisses and hugs and dump all her little worries and cares on us. She's in her 70's or 80's. She's funny. Very doom and gloom.
But anyway, Logan is doing amazing! When we saw him on Monday he said he's been praying and just feels content with everything. He looked happier and cleaner that day, I think that was just the light starting to shine in his eyes. He wants to set a baptismal date and is going to tell us today! Because he even said himself that he can't not have a date to work towards. This guy is amazing. We are lucky to be able to teach him.
Just a side note, it's amazing how many pieces of Idaho I find out here, all the way out here in Atlantic Canada! My mission president one. Three different Elders that I've met so far. The Tolley's love IF. Another member had her conversion story in IF. The Rance family is related to the Kuhn's. At district conference I talked to a few people that have been to Idaho of all places. It's strange...But awesome.
Last night at dinner at a members home, the Drennan's (an amazing young couple family whom we love), they found out Amherst was my first area and that I'm a new missionary and they were surprised. haha That keeps happening. Sister McEwan told me that I don't have "that deer in the headlights look" that most greenies do. haha
Anyway, we've been doing a lot more finding lately, with knocking and street contacting. It's been a good experience. It definitely does take courage. But I'm finding myself slowly more comfortable with it. haha Anyhoo that's it for now. Write me and tell me what you're up to! Love you all.
