Jen with recent convert members Alison and Kristopher. This kid is the smartest 8 year old in the gospel!
I'm not sure I have any great specific experiences to share! Things are going good here. We've been busy and we are always guided each day where to go. Things cancel and other things come up and we are led to those who need us at that right time. It's amazing to see that the Lord really is over all. Because there's no way we could be ourselves! I love teaching and letting the Lord speak through me, just feeling that influence of the Spirit in my words. I have much to learn, as always, but I do enjoy teaching others. Everyone keeps telling me that I am a natural teacher. That seems foreign to me. I guess I've just never really let myself try to be honest.
This week we have district conference in New Glasgow, which is like stake conference. We will hopefully be travelling there with members and then staying the night with Charletown sisters, then coming back sunday with members. I'm SO looking forward to it. One of our investigators, Logan wants to come on Sunday, so that's cool!
The branch here is good. It's fun to serve others and try to help in any way we can. I can see unity and good things happening. Ever slowly, but surely! We've had people feeding us lately too, which is amazingly nice! :)
Sometimes this place doesn't feel like a foreign country at all. And then at other times, it couldn't be more foreign! It's strange. The weather is cold here.....but that's nothing new! I think I'd rather be cold than hot. But anyway, it gets dark REALLY early! I hate it. It's around 5 now that it's completely dark. And to think that it will be like that for months.......boo!
Anyway, the church is true! I am learning so much out here. There is so much to learn and study and ingest and grow from! I'm doing my best. I love the scriptures. They are truly the word of God. Love you all and hope you have a GREAT week!
Love, Sister Olsen
