Well I don't have much to say this week, must have gotten it all out during my phone call home! haha. Happy Mother's Day to all amazing mother's out there!
I just wanted to share one thought that has been on my mind the past couple of days. A recently returned missionary from Australia who is in our YSA said it a few weeks ago in his sacrament meeting talk....He talked about how sometimes when we shy away from an opportunity, we tend to think, "Well oh well. Someone else will take care of it." I'll admit I've caught myself thinking that at different times. Thinking, "Well oh well. Where I fell short, Heavenly Father will surely get someone else to do the job." And while He definitely will make sure that His work is done in His childrens lives, WHATEVER the opportunity may be -- every opportunity we miss or pass up, is only an opportunity missed or passed up for ourselves. We are missing chances to grow, to learn what we are supposed to learn, to become, to change our hearts. So when opportunities come your way, remember they're for YOU, and take them! Place that fear behind and with love, move forward in faith.
I hope everything finds you all well at home!! Have a great week this week! And congratulations to Joey on getting married this month! So exciting! If you hear this, send me an invite! haha
Love to everyone,
Sister Jen Olsen
