So we moved in to our area on Thursday....We actually live in the Cole Harbor area, really close to the temple and we drive to our area each day. We have a minivan. They used to share it between three sets of Elders here (the Eastern Passage Elders and two other sets), but since we are here, and we be sisters, we can't share it with them. Poor Elders. Hope there's no hard feelings. I didn't make the decision!

Anyway....we live in a basement apartment underneath members. Its pretty dark and a little mold prone, but spacious. It looks like an old old ranch style house. There is lots of old furniture in it. The members upstairs are really noisy, but quiet towards us and keep to themselves. Walking in for the first time, it was really clean, which I was really proud of Elder Boyd for cleaning it so well! But we just sat our stuff down and started reading sticky notes that he left us everywhere on the area. It was so scary doubling in!! So vague! We found out we had an appoinment that night and already had a conflict with it and was trying to find on the map where it was at.........and fun stuff! We are eventually feeling more and more settled this week. Our area is a bunch of little groups of areas out in the middle of nowhere. But there are a lot of houses! We mainly work in the Eastern Passage neighborhoods. They are not the prettiest houses in the world (no more color or character or greens of Halifax), everything is white or light blue, laundry hanging in the yards.......but you can see the beautiful beautiful blue ocean!! We knocked on Shore Road the other day and it was absolutely beautiful. They are poorer neighborhoods, but nothing too bad. I LOVE being able to smell the ocean!! Brings me back to Mexico for some reason. This feels like the lighthouse, fisherman type area. I really feel like I've just moved into the stereotypical missionary area (at least what I imagined for myself before my mission). We work in a ward -- my first time on a mission. We get fed like 4 or 5 times a week, which is UNREAL for me! It's so strange. It's been an adjustment being here, hard, but good! It's time that I got out of my comfort zone. Just growing and expanding. Funny how Heavenly Father always knows when to do it too! :)

None of the investigators the Elders had were very solid. We haven't even been able to contact them yet. But we have two solid ones that we've just started to teach since we've been here. A member called us the day we got here and gave us the opportunity to teach her good friend Shona Hartery for the first time. She is probably the most golden investigator I've ever had the privilege of teaching. We've seen her three times since Friday, and she is progressing really well. I've felt the Spirit so much in our lessons. The only thing holding her back right now is her husband isn't wanting to learn about our church and she doesn't really want to plunge ahead without him. But she said she'll still learn and meet with us. She knows it's the truth. It's amazing. We'll see what happens. We are all trying to have faith. Our other investigator is a little 9 year old girl that needs to prepared for baptism! Her family is a less active family. So, while it's been a weird adjustment, I DEFINITELY feel like we are here at the right time for these people. Hopefully many more miracles to follow.

One of my investigators Aliesja (sounds like Alisha) from Halifax is getting baptized this weekend!!! I hope to be able to go. I'm so excited for her!
Well, I better end this long long email.......
I love you all, and hope you have a great week!!
