So I'm getting transferred...........! To Fredericton, New Brunswick! I'll be there with Sister Hamblin, who came out at the same time I trained Sister Crofts. She's been out 9 months now and doubled into Fredericton three transfers ago and now I'll be joining her there. She's sweet and a super hard worker. From everyone I talk to it sounds like its a great area! Beautiful area, and a college town! The work seems to be going well from what I hear as well, and so I'm excited to have some change of pace! I leave on the transfer van at 5:30am tomorrow morning!!! Too early. I'm pretty sure it'll just be me riding with a bunch of Elders. Woot? I haven't packed a bit..........! But I did start a pile in the middle of our apartment of things to pack. I hate packing. It's not all going to fit. I'm going to have to get rid of some stuff and even then I'll probably have a couple extra bags. But that's okay. When I first came out on the mission I heard about a sister who had her luggage and then like 10 garbage bags full of stuff always on the transfer van!!!!! I'm pretty sure there's plenty of room in the transfer trailer for me, and others haha.
Anyway, I said some goodbyes last night, and have a couple more tonight in and around packing. I hate goodbyes! But they've all gone well. I love the people here in this area. It's such a great ward. This past Sunday was a really sentimental day at church for me. I think it was because deep down I was thinking I might leave it. I'm really going to miss it. AND Sister Billings. I'm pretty sure we've become super close and I might cry tomorrow. We know each other so well! We've joked about writing a book for each others future husbands. They would be so ahead of the game haha. Anyway, I'm really excited though!!!! 85% excited. 10% sad. 5% nervous. This area is the furthest sisters area away from the mission center (right now). I will greatly miss the metro. I'll probably miss out on Christmas at the mission home and all those good festivities. But I think that will be okay. I think these next 12 weeks will be the longest I've gone on my mission without the temple!!! How blessed am I!? I will be in a walking area. I think we'll bus a little bit too. I hear it's colder in NB than it is here and that makes me scared!! This week has been COLD! AND I'll be walking in it! Oh well. Hopefully it'll whip me into further shape haha. So yeah.......I know one of the Elders that's going out to North Fredericton who will be my zone leader, so that should be fun. Anyway, I think that's all I know for now. Oh and Sister Hudson, the cute little Englander who was just trained in Halifax by Sister Crofts will be coming here with Sister Billings. If you have any questions or anything about transfers, feel free to ask me and I'll try and answerrr............
So our ward had a Halloween Party this past weekend. We got to go because we had a lot of people that we invited. None of which showed up.........bummer. But we had some less actives come. And it was fun. I can't believe in all of the festivities though that we came out with so little candy haha. We had to come in early on Sunday night. We just lounged around, studied, and relaxed. It was nice.
We had a really great lesson with Dave last night too. He's doing so good. You can see that he does have the sincerity and real intent it takes to get an answer. He's searching for it to know if being baptized is the right thing. I know when he takes the consistent time to put in his effort, he'll get it. He'll probably be baptized into a different ward, but he will be baptized some day!! He really is great. It's neat to see the changes that have taken place in his countenance and demeanor already. Justin Todoruk, a little boy that is part of a newly returning family will be baptized Nov.13th. We got to work with them and teach the lessons. It was awesome. I'm sad I'll miss it! But that's okay.
Welp, wish me luck in my new area! Probably my last!! (Weird). I love you all. Have a good week!!
