Sister Hamblin, Sister Olsen on Remembrance Day, downtown

.......Just can't take that Spanish out of me.....! So it's been a good week. This coming week (Well actually tomorrow, Friday and Saturday) we have Leadership Training with President Simpson. So that should be fun. It goes all day and is really awesome hands on learning. I heard from the Sisters in Eastern Passage randomly and they are doing good. They have taught two potentials that I was very excited about before I left, so that was really exciting to hear!

We met this really sweet Asian girl the other day named Scarlet. We stopped her on the street on a rainy day. She didn't particularly have a belief in Jesus Christ, just believed in being a good person, but she said, "yes please," when we asked her if she wanted to learn more. She also said, "I'm so glad I chose to walk this way today!" She was so cute. We're excited to meet with her. One investigator I love, Ariel, is from Taiwan. She's so amazing! She came to church for the first time this past week and said it was very touching. Unfortunately she goes home in a few weeks, but we're going to make sure she meets missionaries in Taiwan. She's so prepared. I'm grateful for the chance to teach her a couple of times. Christina is getting baptized this weekend. She is in her 20's. From this area. The Sisters met her on the bus. She's really great. I haven't had a great chance to get to know her really well yet, but I'm excited for her all the same. It's been good to help teach her a little bit.

So......it's really cold outside haha. Its hard to be freezing cold and then not really get much of a reprieve from it except for at lunch and dinner. Occasionally we get to pop in the church for some random reason, but as you know, the church is also FREEZING COLD! haha No reprieve......oh my. I hope I survive winter. I'm sure I will.

I am so excited for Christmas!!!!! There is just something about the Spirit of Christmas! And being able to celebrate that in a special way as a missionary. It's awesome.

I really am so grateful for this mission experience. I am doing well, and happy, and just so grateful. So many of my prayers lately have just been prayers of gratitude. I am forever grateful for these experiences. I have a pile of special letters and cards that I have received throughout my mission, and I was reading through them just the other day.........and I just want to say thank you to everyone. Thank you for your special words and encouragement. It really means so much to me. I feel so much love from my family and friends. It would be 200 times harder here without that love and support. So thank you!
I love you all and hope you have a great week!
