Oh boy. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our district and it was the saddest thing ever. Then we had to say goodbye to Sister Jones early this morning....and then we were all alone at breakfast, our elders not there to talk with, and THEN we walked all the way up to the temple to find out it's closed for labor day. Apparently no one feels the need to tell missionaries these things. haha. I don't think I like today so much. It may be the longest day yet here.
I just got your dear elders by email today (three of them). I don't know if I'll get the paper copy before I go, but thanks for the letters! I can't wait to see the railing! You always do such a good job Dad.
Mom, thanks for sharing that story and about that scripture, it’s a great one. I'm definitely going to look it up here. I want to hear more about your work tomorrow...I'm glad Mike is staying with the bishop out there, I'm sure they already love and trust him a lot. So I think everything is packing up okay...it seems to be fitting pretty easy and stuff, but I have yet to weigh it. haha. If it doesn't fit, I might be able to stuff some stuff in Sister Billing's suitcases, haha. Tomorrow will be a long day. It hasn't hit me yet, I'm sure it will once we are flying and out of the MTC bubble. I can't wait to meet the mission pres and his wife and the people of Canada! It's just really hard to leave these people right now. Anyhoo, enough sob story. But actually we sat down today and wrote postcards to some of our elders for when they get to Texas, and we felt better after that. haha. I hope you're all doing well! Mom and Dad, think of some questions you have for me tomorrow, in case I can't think of anything to tell you (not likely haha, but you never know). It's weird to see my growth in already three weeks. I don't know if I told you this yet, but I overheard some Elder say this the other week and it fits perfectly, he said the days seem like weeks, and the weeks seem like days. I can't imagine what it'll feel like when 18 months is over. But anyhoo, we're just beginning. We get to teach one last time tonight....and see Brother Williams one more time and then goodnight and goodbye it is!
Thank you so much for your love and support and prayers! I need them! I love you all and miss you lots! Sister Olsen
