Well all I can say is doubling into an area has proved a little difficult. I really had no idea what that meant when they told me I was doubling in here, haha, but I am trying to have patience. President told me yesterday he's going to have to open a new sister's area next transfer, and the next! If he moves either of us, I'm gonna be so sad. As hard as it is, we are enjoying it here and our time together!
The weather here is insane! Right next to the water, it's colder and windier than I was used to. But it switches so fast on us! We can never be properly prepared haha. One day it was blazing hot, but the wind was really cold at the same time. And then yesterday it was like a torrential downpour on us during our knocking. It was insane. Everything kept going wrong for poor Sister Billings. I was laughing so hard, and bless her heart, she was too. But she started out with an umbrella too small, then she had to add an extra coat because she was cold, her boots are more for looks than functionality and her feet got soaked. Her tights were soaked. Her skirt kept blowing around (soaked as well) and she was flashing the world. Then her next umbrella broke, she dropped my gloves I was letting her borrow in a big puddle, and then our knocking list got wet and ruined!! hahah It was quite the adventure. I was wet as well by the end, but by far not as bad off haha.
Our investigator Shona, is doing amazing!! We met with her yesterday and talked about baptism. We all sat down right then and there to pray about a date. It was really neat. At one point I bore my testimony about my own baptism and the Spirit was so strong. It's amazing. Because even though I didn't recognize it then, I do remember the way I felt. And it was a powerful spiritual experience. After our lesson, we ended up making an impromptu trip to the temple so that she could meet with the temple president, President Blake. We went and joined them after our interviews with President Simpson. It was really neat. She's incredible. Enough said. I'm so privileged to even be teaching her. I can't even say that. I'm more of just helping her connect the dots. But anyway, she really is the icing on the non-existent cake here in Eastern Passage. haha. And by that I just mean we don't have anyone to teach right now, and so she really is a highlight anyway, let alone being amazing. But I really feel like great things are about to happen in this area....!
I love you all! Have a great week.
